Memorial services for Daniel C. Butler “Danny” were held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, March 22, 2014 at Blanchard - St. Denis
Funeral Home in Natchitoches with the Rev. Wayne Johnson officiating. The family received friends from 9 a.m. until service time. Danny, 67, passed away March 19, 2014. He was born in 1946 to the late Daniel C. Butler, Sr. and Hilda Speir Butler in Alexandria. He was a chemist and an educator for many years in the Zwolle and Natchitoches areas. He possessed a love of science. He would always find the best in a situation, no matter what he was facing. He lived for
his children and grandchildren, had a wonderful sense of humor, and never held a grudge. He was a non-judgmental person; “Live and Let Live” was his philosophy. He influenced his family, his friends, his students, and his co-workers. He will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him. He is survived by his wife of almost 30 years, Jennette Meshell Butler of Natchitoches; his children, Cynthia Butler of Baton Rouge, Daphne Butler of Natchitoches and Aimee Butler of Lafayette; his grandchildren, Leyton Wyatt and Logan Wyatt; his siblings, Francine Pipitone and husband, Eddie of New Orleans, Hilda Pratt and husband, Don of Haughton and Carol Hatcher and husband, Billof Waller, Texas; and umerous
nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Daniel C Butler, Sr. and Hilda Speir Butler; and his first wife, Kathryn Boudreaux Butler
