Muriel M. Britt was born on Monday, June 19, 1950 in Pleasant Hill. He passed away on Monday, Jan. 20, 2014 at his residence in Many. Muriel was an avid outdoorsman with a special love for running hounds. He loved to spend this
time with his family and friends sitting around a fire talking about old hounds, old times, or someone else sitting around  the fire with him. He loved to laugh and he enjoyed life to it’s fullest. Even while battling with diabetes he would keep a smile on his face and always love in his heart for everyone he knew or didn’t know. He loved to share Jesus with anyone who would listen. When asked “Muriel how are you doing”? Dad’s reply would always be “As long as my kids and grandkids have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ-I’m doing just fine.” Muriel was an active member of Calvary Baptist Church of Many. He loved to cook the mens’ monthly breakfast until his health would no longer allow him to do so. He always used this time to share his testimony and his love for his Savior. Muriel will forever be missed here on this earth but we know we will see him again one day because of his and our faith in Christ. He was preceded in death by his parents, Solomon and Jennie Rains Britt and two brothers, Ollie and Dallas Britt. He is survived by his wife, Shirley Lawrence Britt of Many; three sons, Jody E.
