Funeral services for James Clayton Manasco, 77, of Many were held October 21 at Calvary Baptist Church with the Reverends Cyle Clayton, Frank Ebarb, and Casey Manasco officiating. Burial followed in the Cedar Grove cemetery. James was born on Saturday, December 24, 1938 in Fisher. He passed away on Sunday, October 16, 2016 at University Health in Shreveport. He was preceded in death by his parents, William Curtis Manasco and Ruth Warmack Manasco and brother, Roy Manasco. He is survived by his wife, Judy Veuleman Manasco of Many; daughters, Tanya Manasco Duplechin and husband, Brian, of Keller, Texas, Dani Manasco Thaxton and husband, Andy, of New Orleans, and Lauren Manasco Moore and husband, Shawn, of Many; sons, Clay Manasco and wife, Rheda, of Many, and Casey Manasco and wife, Renee of Shreveport, grandchildren, Courtney Duplechin, Cody Duplechin, Shelby Welch, Ashlee Houston, Emily Thaxton, Isaac Thaxton, Abbigail Thaxton, Halee Barton, Kyle Barton, Jace Manasco, Nora Moore, and Naomi Moore; great grandsons, Brentley Welch and Wylie Houston; along with a host of nieces, nephews and friends. Pallbearers were Shawn Moore, Brian Duplechin, Cody Duplechin, David Steinke, Butch Manasco, Dr. Bob Allardyce, Benny Funderburk, and Malvin Ogden. Honorary pallbearers were Glen Anderson, Jack Carter, Gerald Knippers, and David Barnhill. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a memorial at Calvary Baptist Church Operation Christmas Child or Calvary Baptist Church- Chris and Denise Williams BMDMI.
