Margaret Eloise Pickle Reid McLean, 87, passed peacefully in her sleep after fighting a long battle with multiple health issues. She was born April 18, 1928 and entered in eternal rest on July 22, 2015. She resided for the last 40 plus years on Toledo Bend Lake where she was active in the formation of the Peg Leg V.F.D. She was an avid crafter and enjoyed the outdoor life, whether working in her flower garden or hunting and fishing. Margaret was preceded in death by her parents, Milford Washington Pickle and Jessie Estella McKay Pickle and first husband, Clifton Irving Reid. She is survived by husband, Richard “Dick” Allen McLean; brother, Jimmie Pickle and family of Houston, Texas; daughter, Marcia Sue Reid Dopp and husband, Paul, of Many; granddaughter, Michelle Lynn Anderson and husband, Samuel of Spring Creek, Nevada; grandson, Kaler Reid Dopp of Many; great granddaughters, Sidney Angelique and Seirra Savanna Anderson of Spring Creek, Nevada along with nephews and their families. As per her request, Margaret’s body was donated to science. A memorial servie will be held at a later date.
