Funeral services honoring the life of Bruce Wyatt McMillian, 60 of Florien, Louisiana will be held on Saturday, October 1, 2022 at 10:00 a.m. at Zion Hill Baptist Church in Many, Louisiana with interment to follow at Antioch Baptist Church Cemetery in Florien, Louisiana. His visitation will be held on Friday, September 30, 2022 at Zion Hill Baptist Church beginning at 5:00 p.m. Officiating his services will be Bro. Wayne Chance along with Bro. Jimmy Glover.

Funeral services for Murrel Arthur Blake, 92, of Many will be held at the First Baptist Church of Many on Tuesday, October 4th at 10AM. Visitation will precede the funeral starting at 9AM also at First Baptist Church of Many. The Rev. Keith Dowden of Pine Hill Baptist Church in Leesville and the Rev. Bo Owens of First Baptist Many will preside at the service with music by Francis Hopkins and David and Susan Carnline. Arrangements are under the direction of Warren Meadows Funeral Home.

Mrs. Blake died on October 1st at Sabine Retirement and Rehabilitation in Many, where she resided since 2018. She will be laid to rest in St. John the Baptist Catholic Church Cemetery, beside her beloved husband.

Murrel Arthur was born on March 12, 1930 in Florien to Howard and Anna Etna Stewart Arthur. She and her twin brother, Earl, were welcomed by an older sister, Ruth Manning Leach. Her twin died in 2018.

Jerry Sullivan, Sr., 79, of Converse, Louisiana entered into rest on Tuesday, September 13, 2022, in Mansfield, Louisiana. He was born July 6, 1943, to Wilburn and Mary Sistrunk Sullivan, in Converse, Louisiana.

Jerry enjoyed good food with family and friends, going hunting and fishing. He was a Godfearing man that loved the company of his church family. He was a good friend to everyone. He will be greatly missed.

Preceding Jerry in death were his parents, and his brothers, Raymond Sullivan and Doyle Sullivan.

Left to cherish his memory is his sons, Jerry Wayne Sullivan, Jr. and wife, Rhonda, Jim Sullivan and wife, Christine, Sherman Wilburn Sullivan, and wife, Lisa all of Converse, Louisiana; daughter, Deanna D. Sabol and husband, Ken of Corsicana, Texas; 15 grandchildren, and 12 great-grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 1, 2022, at Trenton Pentecostal Church.

Funeral services for Edwin Procell, 68, will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, September 23, 2022, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Zwolle, Louisiana. A visitation will be held at Kilpatrick’s Rose-Neath Funeral Home, 943 Polk Street, Mansfield, Louisiana on Thursday, September 22, 2022, from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. with a Rosary at 6:30 p.m. Burial will be held at St. Catherine’s Cemetery in Noble, Louisiana. Officiating the service will be Father Keith Garvin and Brother Brian Rankin.

Jay was born on September 28, 1953, in Converse, Louisiana to Ed and Verple Procell and passed away on Monday, September 19, 2022, in Noble, Louisiana. Jay retired in 2014 from offshore after 36 years. After his retirement, he became a handyman for the entire community. When he wasn’t helping someone, he enjoyed hunting, fishing, and spending time with his grandchildren.

Reverend Robert Ray Bozeman, 84, of Belmont, LA, passed away Friday, September 16, 2022. He spent his last few years at Regent Care of Kingwood, Tx, where he was visited often by his two sons and family up until his passing. He was surrounded by loved ones in thoughts and prayers to bid a last farewell in his final hours. Funeral services for Rev. Robert Ray Bozeman, will be held on Friday, September 23, 2022 at 2:00 PM at Spring Ridge Baptist Church with Rev. Glen Howard, and Rev. Brian Jennings officiating. Visitation will start at 10:00 am; Lunch will be served at 12:00 pm; Services will start at 2:00pm, at Spring Ridge Baptist Church, Pleasant Hill, LA, 71065. Rev. Robert Ray Bozeman was born on Tuesday, June 29, 1938 in Springhill, LA. He passed away on Friday, September 16, 2022 at Regent Care of Kingwood, Kingwood, Tx.

Tina Renee Funderburk McMillian, 59 of Florien, Louisiana went to be with her Lord and Savior on Monday, September 19, 2022 at her residence. A visitation will be held for on Friday, September 23, 2022 beginning at 5:00 p.m. at Antioch Baptist Church in Florien, Louisiana. Her funeral service will follow on Saturday morning, September 24, 2022 at 10:00 a.m. with interment to follow in the church cemetery. Officiating her services will be Bro. Wayne Chance along with Bro. Jimmy Evans.

Funeral services for Allen Joseph Laroux, 84, of Zwolle, LA, will be held on Tuesday, September 27, 2022 at 10:00 AM at St. Joseph Catholic Church with Father Keith Garvin officiating. Burial will follow in the St. Joseph Cemetery. Visitation will begin on Monday, September 26, 2022, at 5:00 PM at Warren Meadows Funeral Home, Zwolle LA. Allen Joseph Laroux was born on Sunday, November 21, 1937 in Zwolle, LA. He passed away on Tuesday, September 20, 2022 in Shreveport, LA.

Funeral services for Lela Gail Greer, 65, of Many, LA, will be held on Wednesday, September 21, 2022 at 10:00 AM at Pendleton Assembly of God with Rev. Daniel Davis and Al Drewitt officiating. Burial will follow in the Friendship Nazarene Cemetery. Visitation will begin on Tuesday, September 20, 2022, at 5:00 PM at Pendleton Assembly of God.

Lela Gail Greer was born on Sunday, October 28, 1956 in Shreveport, LA. She passed away on Friday, September 16, 2022 at her residence in Many, LA.

Services for Robert Lee Riggs, 46, of Many, Louisiana, will be held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, September 27, 2022 in the Gipson Funeral Home Chapel, with Todd Sullivan officiating. Interment will follow in the Garden of Memories Memorial Park.

Robert was born February 4, 1976 in Houston, Texas, the son of Brenda Riggs and the late Henry Charles Riggs. He passed away Wednesday, September 21, 2022 in a La-Fayette, Louisiana hospital.

Robert was a devoted father and son. He enjoyed fishing and was all about antique cars and music. He was an automobile mechanic.

Survivors include his children, Riley Lawrence Riggs and Landri Nicole Riggs; mother, Brenda Riggs; sister, Wendy Nicole Riggs; mother of his children, Traci Riggs; special uncles, Doyle Davis and Tom Lewis; and numerous other aunts, uncles and cousins. Pallbearers will be Troy Culbertson, Nick Culbertson, Ben Culbertson, Lee Daugherty, Erik Lewis and Max Lewis.

Glen Ponder, age 97 years, passed away into the arms of our Father on September 2, 2022. He lived his life as an example for others and loved his Lord almighty. A southern gentleman to the core, the epitome of a good man.

Glen was born on June 12, 1925, in Spring Ridge, Louisiana and was preceded in death by his parents, Kate and Henry Ponder; wife of sixty years, Melba Rita Brown Ponder, and sister, Alma Lurline Edwards.

He is survived by his daughter, Janet Ponder Smith (Tommy) of Bossier City, LA, granddaughters Holly Smith of Dallas, TX, and Amber Lane of Philadelphia, PA, brother Maurice Ponder of Bossier City, LA, along with numerous special nieces and nephews.
