Tigers take out...

Article Image Alt Text

By Daniel Jones

A week after a big loss to North Desoto, the Many Tigers returned to the field on September 21 and took the fight to the Union Parish Farmers, defeating them 33-14.

Following an exciting entrance featuring the roar and motorcycles and spectacle of fireworks, Many won the coin toss to defer to the second half.

Union received to open up the game and received some help on the first play of the game due to a Tiger face mask penalty. The Farmers worked their way down the field to score, putting them ahead 6-0.

Many’s offense didn’t do as well during their first possession, with Trey Jones eventually punting the ball away with it landing on the 35-yard line. The Farmers didn’t have the ball long before Brady Meshell came up with the ball for a turnover.

Patchwork

By Donna Smith Ammons

Ten hours on the road from Gatlinburg to Wilmington, North Carolina, battling traffic, the remnants of Hurricane Florence and one dog and two curious cats made for a long day last Thursday, as Paul and Lexie finally arrived at their home.

They saw devastation all around as they drove through their hurricane- stricken state….not knowing what they had left of their belongings and how their second car survived.

Thankfully, they were pleasantly surprised. The Mayfaire section of Wilmington survived with little damage. Their condo on the third floor had no damage and Paul’s car just needed cleaning up.
