Meeting brings attention to USDA services

Recently, Many Mayor Ken Freeman called a meeting at the Many Community Center to let local elected officials know of the benefits that the USDA can bring to the community.

“Getting money for public projects and community improvements isn’t as easy as it used to be,” Freeman said to open the meeting. “The USDA offers more money than any other agency, and we are lucky to have someone local that excels at working with them.”

Donnie Wooley was then introduced. His career led him to owning his own consulting business, and he currently speaks at different events around the country. He spent 12 years in the Dept. of Agriculture, amongst other qualifications. He also has experience working for community bank clients securing USDA loans. Wooley made note that he is just shy of having brought one billion dollars in assistance to local businesses in his loan portfolio. He lays claim to over 26 years of experience as a USDA program specialist and private sector lender.
