Sheriff Aaron Mitchell reports three men were arrested for illegal narcotic and firearm charges on the morning of October 30.

Election results to be published in next edition
The November 5 election results will be published in next week’s paper.
Although our publication dates states that it is on every Wednesday, we go to press late on Monday, which makes it impossible for us to publish the results in this week’s paper. However, they will be placed on our Facebook page as they become available.

Agents were investigating an illegal drug complaint at an apartment complex in Many when T.N.T. Agent Jeriah Steinke stopped a dark-colored Toyota car on Highland Avenue in Many for a traffic violation. Agent Steinke observed three occupants in the car and detected an odor of marijuana coming from inside the vehicle. T.N.T. K-9 Sgt Nick Sandel arrived to assist with the traffic stop.
After a short investigation, T.N.T. Agents located and seized three AR-style pistols and two Glock pistols (all were fully loaded with extra, extended magazines), almost two ounces of suspected marijuana, and one digital measuring scale from inside the car. One of the AR pistols contained an auto sear which transforms the weapon into a fully automatic machine gun.
Harvey Isaiah Spikes, 21, of Many was booked into the Sabine Parish Detention Center for: -3-counts of Possession of a firearm in the presence of CDS, -Possession of an unlawful machine gun, -Possession with intent to distribute schedule I (Marijuana), -Possession of drug paraphernalia.
Riley Lawrence Riggs, 20, of Many was booked for: -Possession of a firearm in the presence of CDS, -Possession with intent to distribute schedule I (Marijuana), -Possession of drug paraphernalia,
-Illegal window tint, -Failure to signal > 100 feet before turning.
Jamauri Deundrae Thomas, 18, of Florien was booked for: -Possession of a firearm in the presence of CDS, -Possession with intent to distribute schedule I (Marijuana), -Possession of drug paraphernalia.
No bonds have been set at this time. The Sabine Parish Sheriff’s Office wants to assure the public that all persons are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
