Shortly after 1:30 p.m. on Friday, June 7, Zwolle Police Department and Sabine Parish Sheriff Deputies were dispatched to Magnolia Street in reference to a shooting. Deputies located a Chevrolet passenger car with numerous bullet holes and several shell casings in the street. One victim was taken to Sabine Medical Center in serious condition who was later flown to a Shreveport hospital. The second victim ended up at Florien Police Department and he was transported to Byrd Regional Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
Sabine Parish Sheriff Detectives processed the scenes, collected evidence, and two vehicles were seized. The vehicle with bullet holes was located on Magnolia Street and another vehicle containing bullet holes was located on Allens Loop off LA Highway 474 near Florien.
The case remains under investigation by the Sabine Parish Sheriff’s Office.
