Sending a reminder to all Registered youth fishermen fishing will begin early Saturday morning, June 4th on the banks of Cypress Bend Park at the 13th annual Toledo Bend Lake Association/Sabine Soil and Water Conservation District Fish Fest. Fishing begins at 7:30 a.m. Weigh in time will be no later than 11:00 a.m. The event was opened to youth fishermen who attended kindergarten through twelfth grade in 2021/2022 in Louisiana and Texas. Registration has ended and eligible fishermen have been contacted.
Prizes and medals will be awarded in six categories. Entrance fees to Cypress Bend will be waived for registered fishermen. You must fish the shores of Cypress Bend Park. Each fisherman must provide their own fishing equipment and bait. The Fest will end with presentation of awards and door prizes. Jonathan Cooper will be generously donating a half day fishing trip. This will be the last prize and is the GRAND prize. Every fisherman still present will be eligible to win the Grand prize.
Remember to bring your lawn chairs so you can relax during weighin. Parents and other family members are invited to share in the fishing fun. A hot dog lunch and cold drinks will be provided to all fishermen thanks to our sponsors.
