On May 7, Pleasant Hill High School graduated 22 outstanding students. Seven of these seniors have been in Pleasant Hill High School’s Dual Enrollment Program throughout their high school years. The dual enrollment courses are rigorous as the courses are taught online by the professors at Northwestern State University. Each student had a goal to obtain their Associates Degree in General Studies through NSU. In addition to their NSU classes, these students were also taking courses at Pleasant Hill High School. There have been lots of tears, late night study sessions, lots of tutoring sessions, meetings with the administrative team to check on each student’s progress, and tons of snacks… but each one accomplished their goal. The faculty, staff, and administration are proud of them for reaching this milestone in their life. Each of these students will enter college as junior. Since the students are entering college as junior, those who qualified for TOPS will have the opportunity to use their TOPS scholarships to earn their Master’s Degree. Melanie McBride of NSU’s Dual Enrollment program was at graduation to recognize Trenton Scott, Ty Russell, Landri Leach, McKenzie Crowley, Kylee Crowley, Alex Calhoun, and Micah Armstrong for earning their Associates Degree.

Pleasant Hill’s Dual Enrollment Program is like no other. The program is rigorous and rewarding for the students of PHHS. We look forward to working with our 10th, 11th, and 12th grade students who meet the requirements for Dual Enrollment on earning their Associates Degree.

The faculty, staff, and administration are exceptionally proud of all our graduating seniors.
