The Zwolle Tamale Fiesta is upon us and will be held at the Zwolle Festival Grounds throughout the latter part of this week and weekend. As is tradition at the festival, each year a King and First Lady are chosen from the many residents of Zwolle to serve as royalty for the festival and many auxiliary events that build up to the big event in the weeks before.

“I wasn’t sure about the honor at first,” said Pat Rivers on being named King. “I’m not one who likes being out in front of everything, but it’s going to be fun so I got excited.”
