A strong response to the launch of the ACT Work Ready Community at the CDC building in Many on Tuesday evening, December 4, was felt by the committee.
Kenneth Ammons, chairman of the ACT Work Ready Community, welcomed the group and gave a brief history of the committee, which was formed in June, 2018.
The first training was hosted in July in Nashville, attended by Ammons and his wife, Donna. The Chamber funded the trip so the couple could learn about the program.
In October, 2018, Kristy Brumley and Shelly Rivers, representing the Sabine Parish School Board, sat in on the second session of the seminar.
