Ready to “shop ‘til you drop”? The 10th El Camino Real Sale on the Trail takes place May 4 and 5 along the historic El Camino Real de los Tejas. Follow the trail through the Caddo region which stretches from Highway 6 in Natchitoches through Many and then on to Texas Highway 21, which runs through Milam, San Augustine, and Nacogdoches, Texas.
Along the trail, shoppers will find unique and exciting stops throughout each parish/county. Start your day in Natchitoches at the Natchitoches Farmers Market on the Riverfront and shop your way through the shops on Front Street. Enjoy a ranger guided tour showcasing the historic presidio site and scenic walking trail of Los Adaes State Historic Site on Saturday at 2 p.m. Also in Natchitoches, on Friday and Saturday, experience the French Colonial life guided by costumed interpreters 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. at Fort St. Jean Baptiste State Historic Site.
