October 11 was a great day for both Sabine Parish and the many veterans that reside within its borders as the Sabine Parish Department of Veterans Affairs opened a new office. The new location is quite spacious and features a waiting room filled to the brim with educational and service materials, a full kitchen, and spacious office spaces. That is quite the contrast to the previous location, which was located in a cramped office space located at a small landing between flights of stairs, and no longer will local veterans be forced to sit in a stairway to wait for the services owed to them for service to their country.
