MHS Homecoming Court to reign over Oct. 3 game

The Week of Sept. 29-Oct. 3 will be a busy week on the MHS campus, as the Tigers begin their Homecoming 2014 activities. 
Dress-up days, pep rallies and plenty of fun will be scheduled each day, leading up to the Friday night, Oct. 3 ballgame against
Jonesboro-Hodge. Kick-off will be at 7 p.m. The Homecoming Court will be introduced prior to kick-off and the crowning of the 2014 Queen will be hosted at halftime.

Tigers move to 2-0 after trouncing Leesville

The Many Tigers moved to 2-0 and dropped the Leesville Wampus Cats to an 0-2 record following the home opener on
Sept. 12. Much like last week’s game, the Tiger offense and defense came out firing on all cylinders, and did not let the rainy, soggy conditions have any effect on their quality of play

Martinez earns muzzle-loading honors

It was back in the Spring that Ebarb High School freshman Mackenize Martinez earned Medalist honors while leading the Rebels’ muzzleloading team to a first-place finish in the State 4-H Shooting Sports Championship at Frierson, LA.
Martinez took it to the next level this summer and turned in an even more spectacular performance, finishing second in
the Silhouettes category at the National Shoot at Grand Isle, Neb

South Sabine claims tournament win

South Sabine claimed the Dixie Youth eight-year-old, District 8 All-Star tournament last weekend in Alexandria, plowing through the six-team, seven-game tournament undefeated and outscoring their opponents by a combined score of 117-15. Six games were called due to the mercy rule

Lady Rebels run deep in softball playoffs

For the first time in school history, the Ebarb Lady Rebels advanced to the state softball tournament in Sulphur. During the regular season, the talented young ladies, under the leadership of coach Dawn Asbell, won district, bidistrict, and regionals before advancing to the tournament
