Catherine Marie Hippler was born on Monday, April 29, 1940 in Many. She passed away on Wednesday, December 11, 2019 in Newton, Texas. She was preceded in death by her father, Henry Lee Wedgeworth and mother, Bertha (Bass) Wedgeworth.

Funeral services for Della Deers, 103, of Shreveport, were held on December 13, 2019 at St. John The Baptist Catholic Church with Father Francis Kamau officiating. Burial followed in the St. John The Baptist Catholic Cemetery.

Della Deers was born on Tuesday, February 22, 1916 in Natchitoches Parish, Louisiana. She passed away on Wednesday, December 11, 2019 in Shreveport, Louisiana. She was preceded in death by her parents, Peter Deers and Edwina (Solice) Deers; three sisters and two brothers.

She is survived by a host of nieces, nephews, great nephews, great nieces and friends.

Candis “Candy” Webb

Funeral services for Candis Webb, 75, of Noble, formerly of Zwolle, were held on December 14, 2019 at First United Methodist Church of Zwolle with Rev. Dee Ann Johnson officiating. Burial followed in the Zwolle Cemetery.

Candis Webb was born on Thursday, November 23, 1944 in Cranford, New Jersey. She passed away on Wednesday, December 11, 2019 in Shreveport. She was preceded in death by her parents, William Elzie Crutchfield, Jr. and Mary Ester (Roberts) Crutchfield.

Candy was known for her button art and was also known as “The Button Lady”. Everyone knew Candy, she was a member of Palestine United Methodist Church in Ball, Louisiana and The First United Methodist Church of Zwolle. She was a wonderful wife, mother, sister, grandmother and great grandmother. Candy will be missed by all who knew and loved her.

Callens and Gladys Marie (Campbell) Callens; brother, William Clyde Callens; and uncle, Clyde Monroe Campbell.

Jerry Michael Lewing was born on Wednesday, August 16, 1961 in Many. He passed away on Sunday, December 1, 2019 in Many. He was preceded in death by his wife, Rosemary Leone Lewing; parents, Earl Lewing and Exie Faye (Derr) Lewing.

He is survived by his cousin, Charles Derr and wife Linda of Many; along with a host of nieces, nephews and friends.

Katheryn D. Clark

Katheryn Clark was born on January 11, 1942 in Many, Louisiana. She passed away on November 20, 2019 at 10:55 pm in Wheeler, Texas. She was preceded in death by her mother Alice Manasco (Self); husband, Benny Van Clark (March 14, 2012); sister, Elaine McCormick; brothers, Norman Dockens, Charles Dockens, and Jack Dockens. Katheryn Clark married her best friend in 1961 at Central Baptist Church in Robeline. She enjoyed being a homemaker and a songwriter. She is survived by her sons, Gregg Clark and wife Sherry of Mobeetie, Texas; Jeff Clark and wife Becky of Piedmont, Oklahoma; Stacey Clark and wife Lucy of Fritch, Texas; Ty Clark and wife Carol of Jonesboro, Louisiana; daughter, Kristi Clark Brewer and husband Allen of Old Hickory, Tennessee; sisters, Margaret Powell of Lubbock, Texas; Maxine Cooper of Paris, Texas; Retha Campbell of Many, Louisiana; brother, Curtis Dockens and wife Pat of Baton Rouge, Louisiana; with a number of 14 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

Abram Lucas Smith

Abram Lucas Smith

Knitted together perfectly in his mothers’ womb, Abram Smith was gifted to his Mama and Daddy on March 13, 2017. On December 3, 2019 Abram’s eyes closed here on Earth but opened in Heaven to the face of Jesus and the first voice Abram heard was Jesus welcoming him home.

Funeral services celebrating the life of Abram were held on December 6, 2019 at Robeline First Baptist Church with Bro. Brian Ray officiating and interment to follow at Beulah Cemetery in Marthaville.

Leaving behind a family of loved ones Abram is deeply loved and will be missed by his Mama and Daddy, Luke and Crystal (Meshell) Smith of Robeline along with his brothers, Trey Severance and Bryleigh Smith. He also leaves behind his maternal grandparents, Bryan and Fonda Russell of Florien, Timothy Meshell of Marthaville; paternal grandparents, Janiece and Kenny Adkins of Hagewood, Louisiana, BT Smith of Robeline, and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, and other family and friends.

William Dean Callens was born on Tuesday, July 2, 1968 in Many, LA. He passed away on Friday, November 22, 2019. He was preceded in death by his father, William Clyde Callens and son, Nathan Callens.

He is survived by his four sons: William Michael Callens of Many, LA, Joshua Johnson of Freeport, FL, Nicholas Callens of Benton, LA and Matthew Callens of Keithville, LA; daughter, Shelby Callens of Keithville, LA; mother, Janette Callens of Natchitoches, LA; sister, Wanda Callens Megee of Natchitoches, LA; eight grandchildren; along with a host of nieces, nephews and friends.

Margaret Ward Bissell

Funeral services for Mrs. Margaret Bissell were held on December 01, 2019 at Rose-Neath Funeral Home in Mansfield with Rev. Jimmy Price officiating. Interment will be held at Old Union Cemetery in Benson, Louisiana.

Margaret was born on January 12, 1931 in Converse, Louisiana to Earl & Helen Champion Ward. She entered into rest on November 28, 2019 in Mansfield, Louisiana.

Teaching children was Margaret’s passion as she taught the small children Sunday School at Beulah Baptist Church. She loved flowers and enjoyed just sitting and watching them grow.
