Funeral services for Priscilla Ann Anders, 57, of Many were held on Oct. 8, beginning at 2 p.m. at Cedar Grove Baptist Church in Robeline, with the Rev. Jim Townsend officiating. Burial followed in the Cedar Grove Cemetery in Robeline.  Priscilla Ann Anders was born on Wednesday, Jan. 30, 1957 in Sunset. She passed away on Friday, Oct. 3, 2014 at Sabine Retirement & Rehabilitation Center in Many. She was preceded in death by her parents, Leroy and Sylvia Guilbeau. She is survived by her sons, Joshua Anders and wife, Caitlin, of El Dorado, Kan. and Jacob Anders of El Dorado, Kan.; granddaughter, Olivia Anders of El Dorado, Kan.; along with a host of nieces, nephews and friends. Burial followed in the Rocky Mount Cemetery in Robeline. Steve Jenkins was born on Sept. 4, 1947 in Natchitoches. He passed away on Sept. 25, 2014 at Sabine Medical Center in Many.

James Curtis Hildebrand

James Curtis Hildebrand, 84, of Fisher entered eternal peace on Aug. 30, 2014 in Alexandria. Mr. Hildebrand was retired from the United States Air Force and a loving husband, father, and friend. He is preceded in death by his parents, Curtis Hildebrand and Myrtis Hardy. Those left to mourn his loss and cherish his memory are his wife, Trudy Haag Hildebrand of Fisher; three sons, Gilbert Hildebrand and wife, Robin, of Tacoma, Wash., James M. Hildebrand and wife, Liz, of Lubbock, Texas and Charles Hildebrand and wife, Tanya of Fisher; two daughters, June “Miki” Carol Phillips and husband, Jeff, of Fisher and Jae Howard and husband, Russ, of Dripping Springs, Texas; nine grandchildren; five great-grandchildren and numerous extended family and friends. Funeral services were held Sept. 4, at 1 p.m. at Hixson Funeral Home with Pastors John Thompson and Patrick Morgan officiating. Interment followed at Central Louisiana Veterans Cemetery in Leesville.

Lemual Negeeb (Geeb) Sliman Jr

Lemual Negeeb (Geeb) Sliman Jr., 75, of Many passed away Sept. 20, 2014 at Many Healthcare North following a lengthy 
illness. He was born in Many on Oct. 20, 1938. Preceding him in death is his beloved grandparents, Dick and Edna Mae Sliman, as well as his brother, Jamiel (Slick) Sliman and father, L.N. Sliman Sr. Geeb proudly served in the U.S. Navy. After his military service he and his brother owned and operated Sliman’s Carpet Center in Many. After several years of entrepreneurship he went to work with Sears from which he retired. Geeb loved and was an expert ballroom dancer. He had the privilege in his later life to do that which he loved as a host for various cruise lines. Geeb is survived by a sister, Johnnie Bell Dean of Missouri;  aunt Dorothy Lovelady of Many and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and a special friend Opal Marr. Memorial services are pending.

Burial followed in the St. John Cemetery. Shanna Renee Lea was born on Wednesday, Dec. 1, 1971 in Many. She passed away on Sat., Sept. 27, 2014 in Many. She was preceded in death by her brother, Jackie “Taco” Livingston. She is survived by her parents, Jimmy and Sue Livingston of Many; sister, Pam Parker and husband, Veachel, of Noble; brother, Johnny Livingston and wife, Gloria, of Vidor, Texas; nieces, Jamie Kelly and husband, Tim, Ashley Parker Beard and husband, Robbie, and Megan Parker and fiancé, Kyle Crittenden; nephews, Jeff and Gabriel Livingston; along with a host of friends. services for Francis Ann Slaughter 69, of Many, were held on Sept. 25, at 11 a.m. at Siloam Baptist Church. Brother 
Wilton Anthony officiated. Interment followed in the church cemetery. She was born in Natchez, Miss. on April 4, 1945. She entered into eternal rest at her residence on Sept. 22, 2014. Preceding her in death were her parents, Bill and Mavis Rogers Nelson; husband Johnny Slaughter; son, Gary Slaughter; sister, Catherine Snow; brothers, Purvis King, Gerald King and Charles King. She is survived by her sister, Barbara Schofield of Hawkins, Texas; brother James Nelson of California; granddaughters, Meshelle Slaughter and Melissa Slaughter; several great grandchildren; and a host of family and friends.
Honoring her as pallbearers were Butch Randall, David Hippler, Jerry Rogers, Bill Rogers, Robert Armstrong, and Rodney 
French.
