Funeral services for John Wallace Parish, Jr., 68, of Robeline, LA, will be held on Saturday, June 3, 2023 at 2:00 PM at Warren Meadows Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. James Ericson officiating. Burial will follow in the Friendship Nazarene Cemetery. Visitation will begin on Saturday, June 3, 2023, at 1:00 PM at Warren Meadows Funeral Home, Many, LA.

John was preceded in death by his mother, Helen Joye Carlson and his father, John W. Parish, Sr.

He is survived by his wife, Betty Parish; daughter, Stephanie Dovalina and son-in-law, Daniel Dovalina; stepdaughter, Amanda Dotson; stepson, Jalan Dotson and daughter-in-law, Jessica Dotson; sister, Joni Frazier and brother-in-law, Johnny Frazier; grandson, Collin Fontenot; granddaughters: Caitlyn Kilgore, Nikkie Dotson, Holly Payne, Chloe Dotson, and Sadie Dotson; great grandsons, Corvus Kilgore and William Kilgore.

Graveside services for Wanda Janice Rike, 90, of Many, LA, will be held on Wednesday, May 31, 2023 at 10:00 AM at Noble Cemetery with Bro. Brian Coplin officiating.

Wanda Janice Rike was born on Monday, November 7, 1932 in Noble, LA. She passed away on Friday, May 26, 2023 in Natchitoches, LA.

She was preceded in death by her husband, D. A. Rike and her parents, Arthur G. Craig and Thelma “Shorty” Craig.

Wanda attended Noble High School where she played basketball. After graduating high school she attended Business School in Beaumont, TX. She worked at Peterson Sales in Shreveport, LA, International Paper Co. and was the bookkeeper for the Sabine Parish School Board. She then started Classic Fashion with her friend Garland Foy. She was a member of A. J. Hodges Organization. Wanda loved spending time traveling and gardening.

She is survived by her son, Alan Rike of Noble, LA along with a host of nieces, nephews and friends.

Zachory Rice, age 21, passed away on May 14, 2023 in Natchitoches Louisiana. Zachory was born in DeRidder Louisiana on January 8, 2002 to Brian Rice and Tara Thomisee.

A lively and outgoing young man, Zachory was known by family and friends to be hardworking and always ready to lend a helping hand. Zachory loved working for what he got, even at an early age. He graduated High School early in 2019 and went to work constructing houses. He also did disaster cleanup after several major storms in 2021 and 2022. He went to Florida to help with the aftermath of hurricane Ian.

William Galligan, 73, passed on Thursday, May 11, 2023 after a brief battle with cancer. Bill was born October 30, 1949 to Eugene and Joanna Galligan in Monroe, Louisiana. Bill was the second born, joining brother Eugene (Gene); later their family would grow by two more with Karen and Robert (Bob).

Funeral services for Meredith Denise Meshell, 50, of Belmont, LA, will be held on Thursday, May 18, 2023 at 11:00 AM at Carson Baptist Church with Rev. Jeff Feibel and Rev. Scott Bates officiating. Burial will follow in the Spring Ridge Cemetery. Visitation will begin on Wednesday, May 17, 2023, at 5:00 PM at Carson Baptist Church.

Meredith Denise Meshell was born on Sunday, June 11, 1972 in Many, LA. She passed away on Friday, May 12, 2023 at her residence in Belmont, LA.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Johnny Meshell; father, Jack Lightfoot; paternal grandmother, Bernice Lightfoot and maternal grandparents, Mageline and Gordon Rains.

Carolyn (Khaki) Wood Gewin gazed upon the face of Jesus, her Lord and Savior, on May 14, 2023, for the first time. She sang of this glorious day her entire life and we are thankful for this blessed assurance. Carolyn was born to her loving and godly parents, Claudie Lee and Cleo Grantham Wood, on January 27, 1943 in Natchitoches, Louisiana. Her childhood was grounded in the red dirt of Red River Parish where her parents instilled in her a strong work ethic, a deep devotion to family and community, and above all a great love of Christ. She surpassed those expectations for 80 years with tremendous love and always a great deal of fun and laughter. As the baby of the family, she was loved by her siblings and adored by her nieces and nephews. She was the spark in all the fun on the farm and beyond. She was a memory-maker for so many.

Ethel Mary (Garcie) Remedies, 96, of Zwolle, Louisiana, passed from this life into eternal life on the morning of Tuesday 23, 2023 at her residence. A visitation will be held for her at Kilpatrick’s Rose-Neath Funeral Home, 9891 Texas Highway, Many, Louisiana 71449 on Wednesday, May 24, 2023 from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. with a rosary beginning at 6:00 p.m. Her visitation will continue on Thursday morning from 8:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. Funeral services will take place on Thursday, May 24, 2023 at 2:00 p.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 307 Hammond Street, Zwolle, LA, 71486. Officiating her service will be Fr. Peter Mallya, FMH and Rev. Dean Johnson.

She was a strong, faithful, determined and a very independent woman. She loved her fur babies, Tommy and Suzy. Ethel was wonderfully devoted to her family and friends. She was hard working. She had a smile that could light up a room and she never met a stranger.
