Sheriff Aaron Mitchell warns of another scam going around that was reported by a concerned citizen this morning, August 5, 2026.
This person received a text message from an unrecognized number requesting payment for a parking violation. The Sabine Parish Sheriff’s Office will never contact you by text message to request payments. Please do NOT click on any links in the messages. This is a scam.
