UMW Sunday celebrated by Methodists

UMW Sunday celebrated by Methodists

Seventeen members of the United Methodist Women compose the active group at Many’s First United Methodist Church of Many. The ladies gathered together Sunday Sunday, January 24 at 10 a.m. to celebrate their accomplishments and activities.

UMW Vice President Carolyn Dove served as Liturgist and led the services. Those participating in the service included Special Recognition and President Vicki Isgitt, Organist Gail Thomas, Ushers Karen Lombard and Vicki Simpson, UMW Ribbons Mary Ellen Freeman and granddaughter, Charlotte; Stewardship Moment Chris Nolen, and Soloist Vicki Weaver.

Following announcements, hymns and prayers, Mrs. Dove introduced guest speaker, Janis Anthony of Zwolle’s Methodist Church. Anthony grew up in Sabine Parish and graduated from Negreet High School. She earned a B.S. degree from Northwestern State University and a MBA from Cal State-Stanislaus.
