The Zwolle-Ebarb VFW Post 5187 and Auxiliary participate in many programs throughout the year. Great things are happening at this Post.

Auxiliary membership is getting recognition at the State of Louisiana level. Community members are recognized through the organization for their exemplary work as teachers, students and patriotic awareness issues. The VFW and Auxiliary are very proud of the representation in three of the programs, Voice of Democracy (open to students grades 9-12), Patriot’s Pen (students grades 6-8), both with theme “What Makes America Great” and Smart/Maher VFW National Citizenship Education Teacher Award Program.

Winning entries for the 2019-2020 were James Anthony Ebarb, Zwolle High School student for Voice of Democracy, Katy Bass, Converse High School student for Patriot’s Pen First Place and Annabelle Bagley, Converse High School student for Patriot’s Pen Second Place.
