Kings Chapel AME Church sets annual Martin Luther King Jr. observance

The Kings Chapel AME Church cordially invites all to attend their 25th annual Martin Luther King Jr. march and celebration on January 20.

The march begins at 10 a.m. at the corner of East Alabama Street and MLK Drive. The ceremony begins at 11 a.m. at the Kings Chapel AME Church with this year’s special guest speaker, the Rev. Kecia Lewis.

The reverend is a native of Napoleonville and is a product of the Assumption Parish School System. She continued her education and obtained a Bachelor’s Degree in Sociology with a concentration in family and youth advocacy from Nicholls State University.
