Negreet High School won “sweepstakes” recently at the Northwest Literary Rally. The Zwolle High School graduating class of 1969 celebrated their 50th year reunion on May 18 at Cypress Bend Resort. Highs, lows hit Sabine in 2019

Jacob Cosenza and Stone Adair represented the North Sabine High School Fishing Team and their school, Many High, at the 2019 High School National Championship on June 18-22 in Florence, Alabama, on the Pickwick side of the Tennessee River. They competed against 188 more teams on the National level and finished in 21st place overall. Their average weight per bass was 3.52 pounds. Cooper Miller and Landon Sepulvado also participated but unfortunately did not place. Town of Many Mayor Ken Freeman, pictured, was arrested on June 27 and charged with speeding, disobeying a stop sign, and resisting an officer by flight. He posted bond shortly after the arrest.
