Oops! Deputy Marshall Wayne Turner had his police vehicle stolen by a Los Angeles man. When Turner went back to the station to report the theft, he and Marshall George Cook saw the car go down the street. The man abandoned the vehicle and ran with the keys. He was apprehended near DeLatin’s Body Shop and taken to the Sabine Parish Jail.

Three area men were arrested and charged with theft of copper wire owned by Kansas City Southern. Wire was stolen from the right-of-way between Many and Zwolle and Fisher and Florien. Bond was set at $1,000 each.

Cub Scout Pack 331 of Many enjoyed a Halloween Carnival at the First United Methodist Church of Many. Judging the costumes were Stanley Murray, Greg Teal and E.T. Baldridge.
