What happened to the “good old days” of childhood? Remember shopping for school supplies and picking out just the right color of rulers, or the perfect tin lunchbox or what size your new box of crayons would be?

I can remember anticipating going school supply shopping for a few items, but paper, paste and other items were furnished back then.

What happened to long summer vacations? We didn’t travel to far off places, but we were out of school for three months. Nowadays, the summers go so fast with baseball, soccer, traveling to Gramma’s and trying to get in a few fun family times. Back then our travels were in a loaded down station wagon going from one coast to another, since we were a military family.
