The Sabine Chapter, Daughters of the American Revolution was organized in February 1959, with Clara Long Knott as organizing regent. Her leadership in DAR influenced many projects and programs in our community. Along with Mrs. Knott, the work of many DAR women has affected our community and our country for the better.
It is the intent of Sabine Chapter to spend the next 60 weeks looking back at contributions the DAR has made to our community as well as our state, country, and around the world. We will tell the stories of our Patriots, look back at interesting events and awards presented through the years, and we will share more about the volunteer efforts of Today’s DAR.
