The first Trash Bash event, sponsored by the Sabine Leaders against Litter, provided an opportunity for many areas of the parish to get cleaned up.

There were also numerous volunteers that didn’t participate with an organized group that helped make a big difference by either cleaning several miles of parish roads and city streets, weed eating and mowing intersections and roadway signs. All of these citizens deserve a great deal of appreciation from the community.

Assisting in their efforts were neighborhood volunteers, members of the DAR, SARC, and Calvary Baptist Church.
