Patchwork

By donna smith ammons

I am sitting here in Kenneth’s hospital room at Willis-Knighton Pierremont. Betsy is across Shreveport with John, who is in ICU. I look out the window of hubby’s room on the seventh floor and can see Kohl’s, Penney’s and other stores. I can’t leave….this is really tempting, but I am trapped in a hospital room with an agitated husband.

He is feeling better, after a scary heart issue. I am so thankful for dear friends, Vicki and Allen, who were arriving home from an overnight retreat, when they found out Kenneth was in Sabine Medical Center. They came immediately….didn’t even go home. Sister-in-law Suzanne was in the ER with me, as was Dianne, who dropped everything and rushed to the hospital to be with us.
