Sabine tourism promoted by Lt. Governor Nungesser

On May 11, Lieutenant Governor Billy Nungesser made a stop at North Toledo Bend State Park in Louisiana to celebrate the 34th annual National Travel and Tourism Week.

In 2016, Louisiana welcomed more than 46 million visitors, which constitutes a fifth consecutive recordbreaking year. The visitors spent $16.8 billion in Louisiana, which generated $1.04 billion in tax revenue.

Nungesser and the Sabine Parish Tourist Commission use the annual celebration to showcase to legislators and stakeholders the need to prioritize funding for the tourism industry.
