More than 100 vendors will be present at the 43rd Annual Melrose Plantation Arts & Crafts Festival April 22 and 23 including new vendors and old favorites. The festival opens Saturday at 9 a.m. and Sunday at 10 a.m. Admission is $5 for adults and $2 for children ages 6-12 and includes self-guided tours of the grounds featuring century-old live oaks. For an extra $5 guests can go on a guided tour of the Big House, Yucca House and the African House.

The festival is sponsored by the Association for the Preservation of Historic Natchitoches (APHN) and annually attracts more than 2,000 visitors during the two-day event. The Southeast Tourism Society recently named the Melrose Arts and Crafts Festival one of its “Top 20 Events” in the Southeast for April, 2017.
