Leaders Against Litter kicked off their anti-litter litter campaign on March 6 by educating Sabine Parish fourth graders on the unsightliness and hazards of litter along our Parish roads. “Stash Your Trash – Keep Sabine Clean,” is the theme of this litter education program, funded by the Toledo Bend Lake Association and presented by Rotary Club of Many.
The underlying goal is to establish good practices in these future adults, who will bring this message home to their family and friends. The response from the fourth graders was overwhelmingly positive, with the kids demonstrating insights and interest in the litter problem in the Parish.
