With the 3,945 voting precincts in Louisiana reporting, there were a number of important runoffs and elections decided. In the gubernatorial race, Democrat John Bel Edwards and Republican David Vitter will square off in the runoff. Edwards received 40 percent of the popular vote, while Vitter received 23 percent. Scott An Angelle and “Jay” Dardenne were also represented with 19 and 15 percent of votes cast in their favor, respectively.
