The Louisiana Dept. of Health and Hospitals (DHH) has recently announced that its testing has confirmed the presents of the naegleria fowleri amoeba in the Ebarb Water District 1 Aimwell Area, which serves 5,529 people. Currently, there are no known cases of illness related to the amoeba in Sabine Parish or elsewhere in the state, according to information from The Advocate
