The Many Bass Club held their February Tournament on the weekend of February 5 and 6. The weather was post frontal and followed a severe cold front that dropped the lake temperatures into the forties with morning air temperatures in the twenties. The weather made for a tough bite, but several anglers cracked the code and caught nice stringers. Seventeen members fished and five limits of five fish were weighed in by the anglers. The members had the option to fish either Saturday or Sunday and the top three stringers were weighed in on Sunday.

Gary West had the winning stringer which weighed 17.36 pounds. He caught his fish in the mid-lake area on finesse jigs fishing 20-foot ridges. Michael Woods finished second with five fish that weighed 17.25 lbs. Michael reported that he also caught his fish deep on jigs in the mid-lake area. Daylin Slaughter was the third-place angler with five fish that weighed 11.76 pounds.

Jimmy Campbell had the Big Bass of the tournament which weighed an impressive 9.5 pounds. Congratulations to the January winners.

The Club’s Top Six race is off to a tight start. Gary West is leading with 34.51 points, just ahead of Michael Woods who has 33.75 points. George Herr is in third place with 23.51 points followed by Jimmy Campbell with 17.12 points, Skip Carlisle with 14.72 points and Glen Swihart with 14.47 points.
