One cannot imagine the impact that packing a shoebox has for a child, and all children and youth have an exciting opportunity to find out on August 17 from 3 p.m. – 4 p.m. at Calvary Baptist Church in Many.
Jamacia David, a full circle speaker for Samaritan’s Purse Operation Christmas Child, will speak. She grew up in Guyana, in South America, and received a shoebox as a child. She will present her story and how it was a life-changing event for her and her family.
Her father was often away for months at a time because jobs were so scarce. In order to provide for his family, he had to travel to other countries for work. While away, Jamacia’s mother struggled to make ends meet on her own.
