I had a blast from the past a week ago. Friends of ours were traveling to New Orleans for a concert featuring Arlo Guthrie. Remember him? He was a long-haired folk singer back in the 60s, who made a record called “Alice’s Restaurant.” It was a place you could “get anything you want”. In fact it was “around the back about a half mile from the railroad track!” I recall standing in a long line one night to get into the basketball arena at Ole Miss to see a young Arlo Guthrie. It was a great concert and I was so glad I made an effort to see him. Today Arlo is in his 70s and has white long hair….but he still sings a good song!! I’m sure our friends will have a ball! Hubby-dear and I did a little research on Arlo after finding out our friends were going to see him. In fact, we looked up the movie and settled in to watch it.
