Good news hit Florien High School about fellow student RyLeigh Rutherford, that she had signed up to continue her dream of playing softball, this time with LSUA. RyLeigh is the 17-year-old daughter of Ryan and Shelly Rutherford of Florien. She will graduate in 2018 from FHS and will attend LSUA in the Fall of 2018. RyLeigh will graduate with a 4.0

I wanted to know what made RyLeigh play softball in the first place. Well, she has been playing ball since she was five years old. She played two years of t-ball and one year of pitching machine with the boys. She was the only girl all three years to be chosen to play All-Stars. She would hang her bag in her own dugout, but it was RyLeigh who would show those boys up on the field.
