    Many’s Mayor Ken Freeman and Interpretive Ranger Michael Mumaugh from Mansfield State Historic Site talk about the events during the Civil War that were the basis for the plot of The Horse Soldiers movie.
    The Horse Soldiers, a movie filmed in 1959 around Natchitoches, LA, was a huge hit when it played last week at the Many Community Center. The largest crowd since the November opening night attended the Civil War movie which starred John Wayne and William Holden.
