Funeral services for Benjamin Joseph “Benny” Remedies, 81, of Zwolle, LA will be Thursday, November 20, 2025 at 10:00 AM at St. Joesph Catholic Church with Father Joseph Maddala officiating. Burial will follow in the St. Joseph Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, November 19, 2025 beginning at 10:00 AM at Warren Meadows Funeral Home in Zwolle, LA.
Benny was born on September 30, 1944. He went to be with the Lord on Sunday, November 16, 2025 at his residence in Zwolle, LA surrounded by his loved ones.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 52 years Mary Elizabeth Rivers, his parents Robert and Gladys Bebee Remedies; sisters Barbara Ezernack and Betty Remedies, brothers Bobby Remedies, Dennis Remedies, and Douglas Remedies, brother-in-law Woody Ezernack, sister-in-law Martha Remedies, niece Deanna Leth, nephews Hugh Remedies and Tommy Leth.
He is survived by his son Dale Remedies and wife Juanita; granddaughters: Tara Cartinez and husband Jay of Zwolle, Dana Hillman and husband Kevin of Zwolle grandsons: Colton Dale Remedies of Little Rock, AR, A. J. Luna and Joe Michael Luna of Zwolle; sisters, Billie Jean Garza and husband Danny of Shreveport, Dianne Roberts and husband Donald of Springs, TX, Doreen Sepulvado and husband Cecil; brothers, Danny Remedies and wife Lisa, Donald Remedies and wife Ann; ten great-grandchildren; along with a host of nieces, nephews, Godchildren and friends.
Pallbearers will be: Colton Dale Remedies, Luke Remedies, Drew Remedies, Marcus Sepeda, Christopher Remedies and Robert ‘Dee” Remedies.
Honorary Pallbearers: Anthony “Poppa” Remedies, Rylan Sepulvado, Trey Sepulvado, A. J. Luna, Michael Luna, Douglas Long, Bo Kimbrough, David Remedies, Danny Delayne Remedies, Grady Ezernack, Nick Garza and Chris Schoth.
We would like to thank all the nurses with Elara Home Health, Shanna Ebarb with Superior Hospice, Karagan Hopkins and all our family members who helped care for him and made it possible for him to stay at home. We love you.
