A Sabine Parish inmate enjoyed 15 hours of freedom Monday, Oct. 20 after escaping from the Sabine Parish Detention Center, according to Sheriff Ronny Richardson. According to the reports, at about 3:30 a.m. Monday, Oct. 20 Mack H. Johnson Jr., 31, of Many, escaped restraints and ran out the door of the facility and into a heavily wooded area. A deputy pulled away from another who wrestled with him as he was fleeing.
