Darlene Marie Leger, 67, passed away peacefully at home on Friday, Oct. 24, 2014 while surrounded by warmth and love of family and friends. She was born in Lafayette, but lived in Ragley for 44 years. Darlene was a loving mother, grandmother, daughter and friend. Among her many talents she was a fantastic cook who loved God, her family and her grandchildren. She was a very compassionate person who always had a softness for the less fortunate and had such a humble spirit. Darlene was a friend to all; her best friend is Lynette Bradbury. Their friendship has lasted for 57 years. She was married to her loving husband, Burt Leger for 42 years, until his passing. Because of her comforting and loving nature she was a prayer warrior for her children, grandchildren and for people in need. Those left to cherish her memory are her daughters; Angela Leger and her husband, Dr. Farid Aminzadeh, of Irving, Texas and Lisa Leger Primeaux and husband, Mark Primeaux of Sunset; brothers, Ronnie Godeaux and wife, Charlene Godeaux of Westlake and Charles Godeaux and wife, Doreen Godeaux, of Dallas, Ore.; and grandchildren, Nicole Primeaux and Nicholas Aminzadeh. The family would like to extend their heart-felt appreciation to Regina Leger McComb, Robbie Stout Reed and her Hospice Caregiver, Hilda Brooks all of who showered her with love, comfort and support. Funeral Service were held on Oct. 27 at 10 a.m. at Hixson Funeral Home of Moss Bluff in Moss Bluff with Pastor David Lilly officiating. Burial was at Ritchie Cemetery in Moss Bluff.
