It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Barbara Elaine Pantalion of Zwolle, LA, who left this world peacefully on September 7, 2025 at the age of 88.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, September 10, 2025 at 10:00 AM at St. Joseph Catholic Church with Father Tim Hurd officiating. Burial will follow in Mountain Cemetery, Nacogdoches, TX. Visitation will begin on Tuesday, September 9, 2025 at 5:00 PM at Warren Meadows Funeral Home, Zwolle, LA. A rosary will begin at 6:00 PM.

Barbara was the heart and soul of our family. To know her was to feel unconditional love, warmth, and kindness. She had a gift for making every person she met feel valued and special, and her presence brought comfort and joy to all. Her laughter filled our homes, her wisdom guided our lives, and her generosity touched countless hearts.

Born on September 5, 1937 in Many, LA, Barbara lived a life full of grace, devotion, and love. She cherished her family above all else. Her greatest joy was being surrounded by her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. Her home was always a place of welcome, where meals were shared, games such as cards, dominoes, and marbles were played stories were told, and memories were made that will last a lifetime.

She is preceded in death by her husband of 64 years, Allen Pantalion, her father James DeWitt Dew, mother Elaine Dew, sisters: Rose Dew, Sharon Dew, Jean Sibley, Glenda Johnson and sister-in-law Carolyn Dew and granddaughter Ashley Pantalion.

She is survived by her children: Randy Pantalion and wife Donna of Old River Winfree, TX, Dale Pantalion and wife Elaine of Keithville, LA, Winnie Remedies and husband Coon of Zwolle, LA and Kimberly Sepulvado and husband Larry Dale of Zwolle, LA, brother James “Buddy” Dew, sisters: Mary Eastman, Martha Allen, Kay Cole and husband Nelson, and Sheila Austin and husband Ernie; grandchildren: Traci Taubert and husband Adrian, Krystal Lovelady and husband Dustin, Kari Caskey and husband Bobby, Jonathan Remedies, James Remedies, Jr., Cody Pantalion and wife Nicole, Laci McCullough and husband Jonathan, Terry Sepulvado, Jr., Chelsie Ratcliff and husband Waylon; twenty-four great grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren, and a very special person like a daughter, Arnetta Collins Lewing along with a host of nieces, nephews, and friends.

Pallbearers will be Cody Pantalion, Terry Sepulvado, Zander Remedies, Nathan Remedies, Gilbert Collins, and Dustin Lovelady. Honorary Pallbearers: Jordan Caskey, D’layne Caskey, Ryder Malmay, Brenten Sepulvado, and Charles Laroux.

She will be deeply missed by her children, grandchildren, great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren as well as by countless friends and loved ones. Though we mourn her passing, we celebrate the incredible legacy she leaves behind: one of love, faith, and compassion.
