With deep love and heartfelt sorrow, the family of Donna Lewing announces her peaceful passing on May 11, 2025, at the age of 71 surrounded by her loving family.
Born on February 19, 1954 in Virginia, Donna Singletary Lewing lived a life full of compassion, grace, and devotion to those she loved. A registered nurse by profession, Donna brought care and comfort to countless lives throughout her career, retiring with pride and honor in a field she deeply cherished.
Donna was the beloved wife of Dean Lewing, with whom she shared a life filled with love, laughter, and adventure.
Together, they traveled widely, creating treasured memories from coastlines to countryside, and always returning to one another with joy in their hearts.
She was a proud and devoted mother to her two sons, Chad (April) and Michael (Melissa), and her love only grew with the arrival of her three grandsons- Carter, Mason, and Hunter-who brought her endless pride and joy. Donna had a deep love for her siblings and was always there for Ralph, Karen, and Keith in times of both joy and need.
Donna is survived by her husband Dean, her sons Chad and Michael, her sister Karen Hollandsworth (Steve) and brother Keith Singletary (Belinda), and her three grandsons. She was preceded in death by her parents Mary Wyatt (Raymond) and Ralph Singletary (Rita) and her brother Ralph Singletary (Lauren). Her warmth, strength, and selfless spirit will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.
A service will be held to honor Donna’s life on Wednesday, May 14, 2025 at 10:00 AM at Warren Meadows Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Lamar Joy officiating. Burial will follow at Pine Knott Cemetery. Visitation will begin on Tuesday, May 13, 2025 at 5:00 PM at Warren Meadows Funeral Home, Many, LA. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
