The Many Bass Club held its August Tournament on Saturday, August 10 and Sunday, August 11. As usual, the anglers could choose to fish either Saturday or Sunday. Twelve anglers fished the tournament, and five five-fish limits were brought to the scales. Fishing was similar on both Saturday and Sunday. The weather was mostly sunny, and hot with temps in the middle nineties and light to moderate east/ northeast winds. Water temps were in the upper 80’s. The top two stringers and Big Fish were caught Saturday. Three limits were boated on Saturday and two limits on Sunday.

Congratulations to George Herr, who caught the winning stringer of 14.74 pounds. George caught his fish on the south end of the lake punching grass. Gary Moore caught the second place stringer which weighed 13.99 pounds on swim jigs and top-waters on the upper end of the Lake. Glen Swihart finished third with a five-fish stringer that weighed 13.9 pounds. He caught his fish punching grass on the south end of the lake. Jason Timmons had the Big Fish for the tournament which weighed 4.11 pounds.

James Edwards continues to hold down first place in the Club’s 2024 Angler of the Year Race with 105.68 points. Terry Hotard remains in second place with 89.5 points, followed by Gary West in third with 82.6 points, Gary Moore in fourth with 76.44 points, Jason Timmons in fifth with 73.69 points, George Herr in sixth with 73.55 points, Michael Woods in seventh with 66.84 points, and Glen Swihart in eighth with 57.38 points.
