The Many Bass Club held its July Tournament on Saturday, July 6 and Sunday, July 7. As usual, the anglers could choose to fish either Saturday or Sunday. Ten anglers fished the tournament and only 3 limits were brought to the scales. Two anglers fished Sunday and they only caught one fish between them. To say that the fishing was tough would be an understatement. The three limits were all caught on Saturday when the weather was partly cloudy to bright and hot as the day progressed. Sunday had cloud cover all day and the temperatures were in the upper 80’s to near 90 degrees. Water temps were in the mid to upper 80’s. The top three caught the tournament’s largest stringer of 11.21 pounds, and he also landed the big fish of the tournament which weighed 11.09 pounds on soft plastics in shallow water on the upper end of the Lake. Terry Hotard finished third with a five fish stringer that weighed 10.84 pounds. He caught his fish in the mid-lake area on crankbaits in four to six feet of water.
James Edwards continues to hold down first place in the Club’s 2024 Angler of the Year Race with 93.42 points. Terry Hotard moved into second place with 76.55 points, followed by Gary West in third with 75.81 points, Michael Woods in fourth with 64.84 points, Jason Timmons in fifth with 61.03 points, Gary Moore in sixth with 60.45 points, George Herr in seventh with 56.81 points, and Jimmy Campbell in eighth with 50.1 points.
Congratulations to the winners!
