The Many Bass Club held its monthly Tournament on May 11 and 12. The anglers could choose to fish either Saturday or Sunday. Fifteen anglers fished the tournament and seven of them landed five-fish limits. Saturday’s weather was overcast, breezy, with temps around seventy. Sunday was stormy with wind and rain off and on throughout the day and cooler temps in the sixties. The bite was good but big fish were hard to come by. Most of the fish were caught on shad spawn or shad oriented post spawn scenarios. The top stringer and Big Fish were caught Sunday in the stormy weather.

Congratulations to Gary West who won the tournament with a 15.1 pound stringer which he caught in the mid lake area, chasing the shad spawn. James Edwards caught the second place stringer which weighed 10.86 pounds. He caught his fish on crankbaits in the mid-lake area of the Lake. Gary Moore finished third and had a 10.80 pound stringer that was caught on senko’s and crankbaits in the mid-lake area. Terry Hotard caught the Big Fish of the tournament which weighed 5.18 pounds.

James Edwards continues to lead the Club’s 2024 Angler of the Year Race with 73.18 points. Terry Hotard remains in second place with 63.71 points, followed by Gary West in third with 63.13 points, Michael Woods in fourth with 51.63 points, Jimmy Campbell in fifth with 50.1 points, George Herr in sixth with 45.67 points, Gary Moore in seventh with 45.36 points, and Jason Timmons in eighth with 44.15 points.

Congratulations to the winners!
