Converse High School will hold its Homecoming on February 5 th , 2022. The Court Presentation will begin at 5:00 p.m., and the games will begin immediately after at approximately 6:00 p.m. The Wildcats and Lady Wildcats will be hosting Evans High School Eagles and Lady Eagles.
Converse Homecoming tradition has always been that 2 females from each grade are selected by their class as maids, while the queen is selected by the high school student body. The court wore formal dresses, and the queen’s dress has always been white. All young ladies were escorted by their father. This year’s homecoming represents the beginning of a new 100 years of Converse High School. Converse High School students were asked to vote on any changes they’d like to make. Students voted in favor of the following changes: 1.) Two male students will be voted on by their classmates as beaus, to represent their class along with the maids. 2.) Suits will replace the formal dresses, 3.) The queen and king will not be known until they are crowned the night of Homecoming, and 4.) Maids and beaus will escort each other. We are looking forward to these new traditions at Converse High School and we can’t wait to see our students shine at our first homecoming of the CHS’s second hundred years. Come out and support them if you can!
