Funeral services for James Guay, 83, of Many, were held on Sunday, March 14, 2021 at Warren Meadows Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Buddy Freeman officiating. Burial followed in the Pilgrim Rest Cemetery.
James Guay was born on Friday, October 22, 1937 in Many. He passed away on Wednesday, March 10, 2021 at Sabine Medical Center in Many.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Martha Guay; parents, Watson and Annie (Maxie) Guay; and his son-in-law, Kerry Hemperley.
He is survived by his daughters, Marla Kimble and husband Rickey of Simsport, Louisiana; Melinda Pleasant and husband Bruce of Weatherford, Texas; Melanie Merritt and husband Dustin of Florien; son, Timothy Guay of Pineville; sister, Bobbie Jackson of Many; brother, Billy Guay and wife Linda of Many; granddaughter, Hannah Pleasant; grandsons, Chase Hemperley; Joshua Pleasant; Mason Merritt; Logan Merritt and wife Ashlyn; Jordan Merritt; great granddaughter, Selah Merritt; along with a host of nieces, nephews and friends.
Pallbearers: Chase Hemperley, Joshua Pleasant, Brian Guay, Dustin Merritt, Logan Merritt, Jordan Merritt and Rickey Kimble.
Honorary Pallbearers: Bruce Pleasant, Mason Merritt and Kerry Hemperley.
