Celebration of Life services for Jacob Patton will be held at Pendleton Assembly of God Church, 14152 Texas Hwy. Many on Saturday, December 12, 2020 at 10 AM.

Jacob Austin Patton was born on November 7, 1999 in Atlanta, Texas. He was taken from us way to soon in an untimely death on Sunday, November 29, 2020 at the tender age of 21. He grew up and enjoyed most of his life in and around Sabine Parish.

To have had the honor of knowing Jacob, was a true blessing. His smile from a small boy to a grown man was infectious and he was one of the most well mannered and respectful young men that loved unconditionally. His smile would light up the smallest room to the largest room of people. He could meet anyone and strike up a conversation to get to know them. From a young age Jacob attended Pendleton Assembly of God and was active in The Royal Rangers program for over 10 years. He loved the outdoors especially fishing and would sit by a bonfire with family all night long. The world has lost a very special young man.

Jacob was to be sworn into the US COASTGUARD on Wednesday, December 2, 2020 to begin his career in saving others lives. His passion was helping others.

Jacob is survived by his father Joel Lance Patton of Florien; mother, Jeanie Pendleton of Houston, Texas; grandmother, Mary Smith Patton of Many; “Special” Aunt, Nelle of Lafayette; two very special cousins he considered his bonus sisters, Katelyn Anderson and Madelyn Russell; uncle, Huey Patton Jr; aunt, Crystal Patton Sepulvado; great uncles, Bob Hudnall; Jack Smith; and great great aunt, Beverly Carter. Jacob also leaves a host of cousins, friends, extended family and special sacred lady he had planned to build a life with, Rebecca Speed. He leaves behind his faithful, loyal fur dog named Blue which was his companion and traveling buddy.

He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Huey C. and Clovis Patton.

Serving as Honorary Pallbearers will be Bob Hudnall, Jack Smith, Benny Byrd, Barry Poole, Jason Summerlin, Huey Patton Jr, Josh Ross and Jackson Ross.
